There will be an interesting film on keeping Bees. You never know - You might become so interested, that you will c hoose to join the ranks of beekeepers in helping to increase bees, pollunation and not forgetting the production of your very own health giving honey. We hope so. - Last year we recruited around 30 new members. Come and ask them how they have got on ! There's nothing quite like it !

Annual RBKA Members Dinner. held at the New Inn, Kidmore End, Nr Caversham. 29 January 2010. ( A night to remember )

To all who couldn't make the dinner. Just to let you know that last evening's event went very, very well. With a great turn out by members. We had exclusivity of the Restuarant and after aperitives in the bar. All were asked to pick their named lapel badge pinned to a Skep in the shape of bees. ( Thanks to Stella ). As many new members were in attendance, It certainly helped for everyone to identify each other. Members had forwarded their menu choices prior to the dinner. This worked exceedingly well. The chef was prepared and it speeded up food to tables. All the meals were to everyones satisfaction. Each place setting had a miniture bottle of bubble maker supplied. Which gave a fun element to the evening. Prior to the dinner. Members were asked if they would like to donate prizes for a grand draw. This they did with amazing charity. So many were presented, that there were no losers. Everyone went home well fed, with good food, wine, conversation and good lasting memories. As we all look forward with great hope, to another year of beekeeping. Lets hope the weather is kind to both us and our bees.
