2011 dates for Winter Meetings METHODIST CHURCH HALL CAVERSHAM HEIGHTS Meeting Dates at the Methodist hall on the 2nd Tuesday of the month :- 13th December - 10th January 2012 - TBA 14th February 2012. _______________________________________________________ Tuesday 13th December for 7.30pm For the last meeting of the year, we have arranged a very interesting lecture entitled "My simple approach to Bee Improvement" by Roger Patterson. We look forward to seeing you all on this festive occassion. We also would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. The venue as always, will be The Caversham Heights Methodist Hall, Highmoor Road Caversham Heights, Reading RG4 7BG.
First 2012 meeting 10th January: We have orgainised a speaker Scott Rutland. A Master Beekeeper. His subject is entitled."A year in the life of me & my Bees". It's packed full of interesting facts and a must for members to pick up tips on improving beekeeping. It's simply not to be missed,please put a note into your diaries. We really look forward to seeing you on the first meeting of the year. A good time to meet other members and exchange valuable information. _____________________________________________________
RBKA BEE DAY 2012 To be held on Saturday 17th March at Mapledurham Village Hall. Speaker: Caroline Cavill from "Bee Good" Handmade products will be talking about her honey and beeswax cosmetic products 11.30am -12.30 The talk is entitled " From Hive to boudoir". Speaker: Ron Hoskins the nationally known Rearer of Clean Queen Bees 2.30. "Setting up and selecting an apiary" including Swarm Control and Good Husbandry, together with an update on work at his Queen Rearing Apiary in Swindon, concluding with Q & A .
