2019 Course

RBKA BEGINNERS THEORY COURSE 2019

Following on from the very successful course run for some 8 years, we again hope to run our course again in January 2019 - the Reading & District Beekeepers Association beginners course led by Rob Nickless, a local bee farmer. It will comprise of six classroom led evening sessions during January & February 2019.

The course is intended for those with very little or no knowledge and experience of beekeeping. The course covers all aspects of beekeeping including the history, biology and lifecycle of the bee. It also includes clothing, hive equipment and a walk through of the activities carried out in a typical beekeeping year.

Along with the theory, students also have the opportunity in the class to ask local association members lots of questions over the tea or coffee break.
